Why am I committed to Serving on the Board of Directors for New Horizons Center?

I love what New Horizons does for its members and the community. I admire all the staff and their dedication to the members. I was once an employee in the office at New Horizons, however found out I preferred another career and serving on the board gave me a chance to stay connected and involved with New Horizons.

What are you professionally and personally proud of?

Personally, I am proud of myself for raising two amazing humans, putting myself through college while being a wife and mom, and opening my own bookkeeping/accounting and financial advising firm.

Professionally, I am proud that I worked in many different industries throughout my life gaining wisdom and experience from each position I held.

I began college at 35 years old and first obtained a Social and Behavioral Sciences Degree, however my true calling had always been business focused. Therefore, I went back to college at 40 and obtained a Bachelors in Accounting.
