Why am I committed to working for New Horizon Center?

New Horizon Center’s mission and the invaluable services they extend to the community resonate deeply with me. Over the past five years, I’ve devoted my career to the nonprofit sector, finding profound meaning and purpose in the work I do. I am drawn to New Horizons’ commitment to People and Innovation, which aligns perfectly with my philosophy of servant leadership and my aspiration to enhance the support and offerings available to the community we serve. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and passion to further the impactful work of New Horizon Center.

What are you professionally and personally proud of?

I take great pride in my resilience, both personally and professionally. My strong work ethic, leadership skills, and knack for problem-solving have consistently propelled me forward. As a first-generation college graduate, I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and completed my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) while balancing the responsibilities of full-time employment and motherhood to three children. The dedication I poured into my education and professional journey has opened doors, including the opportunity to join New Horizon Center’s leadership team.

On a personal level, I am immensely proud of the challenges I’ve conquered, particularly as a mother of three, with my middle son being autistic. These experiences serve as constant sources of motivation, both in my personal life and in my career endeavors.

Who are you when you are not working?

Outside of work, I am grateful for the moments spent with my husband and children. Whether we’re chasing sunsets on the lake, exploring off-road adventures in Glamis, or hosting family gatherings, these moments are what I live for. My husband and I are also deeply involved in Desert Art Pools, his family-owned and operated pool contracting company. So, you’ll often see us knee deep in someone’s backyard designing their dream pool backyard oasis!
