Why am I committed to Serving on the Board of Directors for New Horizons Center?
Hello! My name is Emily Anderson and this is my first year serving on the board of directors at New Horizons. I am a Lake Havasu City native, and recently moved back after completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska. I am excited to contribute my time and ideas to make New Horizons Center the best it can be! My little brother was born with cerebral palsy and he has inspired me to want to give back to our community and to those with special needs. That being said, New Horizons Center has always held a special place in my heart, it feels like just yesterday I was 14 years old and hosting cookie decorating classes there for the clients. I am very passionate about this organization and all it has to offer!

What are you professionally and personally proud of?
I am proud to be a nurse, where I have the opportunity to make difference in the lives of others.

Who are you when you are not working?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and cheering on the Nebraska football team!
